At IBM Pulse, the tech giant announced the acquisition of Cloudant, a Boston-based database-as-a-service (DBaaS) provider that enables developers to create next-generation mobile and web apps more quickly and efficiently by freeing them from the concerns of infrastructure and data management and allowing them to focus on development, thus, getting applications to market faster.
Insights Magazine caught up with Co-founder and CTO Adam Kocoloski after he spoke at dev@pulse, which was a free component to IBM Pulse specifically for developers and held in the Hakkasan Nightclub in Las Vegas. Listen in as Kocoloski, a MIT grad, talks about Cloudant's origins, what the company can do for businesses and developers looking to speed application to market time, and more on the IBM acquisition.
